I have a question on applying makeup such as
eye shadow
lip gloss
blush
and other stuff like foundation
And if you have any other tips on how to feel fresh and not feel you look like you have a lots of makeup on thanks. I look forward to getting some advice

I think you’ve forgotten about foundation. the best thing to do is to use a foundation brush. I use brushes for everything. I like the Target makeup designer. I think the name is Olga or something like it. Buy the ones with the black handles. the ones with the white handles are cheap (quality).

There is a great make-up artist that will give you the best advice and also has tutorial videos you can find them on youtube.

You don’t say what skin tone you have but if your pale like me.. get some bright red lipstick and clear lip gloss over the top, and then press your lips on a piece of paper or tissue so it doesn’t look like to glossy and sticky have fun hope this helped

How to apply rachel bilson’s makeup?

Her makeup seems quite simple, but i have no clue on how to apply it. first off, i know that she does a smokey eye effect, but i don’t know if she uses kohl eyeliner is her lower eye rid or if she just uses a simple eyeliner.As for her face, i was wondering about the application of her blush and if she uses a highliter/shimmer.And finally for lipstick, what shades she wears, etc..thanks in The most important info i need is just if she uses kohl liner in the upper and or/lower rims of her eyes or if she just uses basic eyeliner on her lashline!

Now that you’ve created a nice base, apply a bit of light pink blush to the apples of your cheeks. This will create dimension and make your cheek bones stand out (see photos below). Once you’ve applied your blush, it’s time to move onto your eyes and lips.

Keeping your eyes and lips light are key to a perfect fresh face. A light gold coat of eye shadow, combined with a light coat of mascara will be just enough for your eyes (If you’re going out, you may want to add a bit of darker liner to the bottom of your eyes for a smokier effect – see photos below).  When it comes to your lips, you’ll want to choose a light pink gloss that’s just a shade darker (or brighter, depending on the look you’re going for) than your skin tone. Voila! You’ve just mastered the look of a fresh face.

I think I have a problem with the application & removal of eye makeup particularly. I lose lashes even after applying eyeliner or eye pencil, then when I remove it. It also makes my lids itchy which makes te matter worse. Any suggestions ?

It sounds like you are having a reaction to either the makeup or eye makeup remover. Try changing your remover first to a different brand and see how that feels. Then if it’s not that just try changing the brand of products you are using.

When you take off your makeup you must be very careful around the eye area. If you are rubbing your eyes to hard this can lossen your eye lasses.

I am trying to find a website that gives examples of different colour techniques. I have some photo shoots coming up in which I have to do my own makeup and would like some examples to get some ideas. Anyone have any? I can look in magazines but I can never tell what colours they are using.

What is the best way to apply dark, dramatic eye makeup?

My prom is on Friday, and I have no idea what to do with my makeup! I have a very impossible dress color to describe. I’ve heard neon fuchsia, fluorescent magenta, coral salmon, and pink-orange. Anyway, I want to focus on my eyes. I have dark chocolate brown hair and hazel eyes (with dark makeup, the green pops). I am hoping to have a neutral foundation, barely there blush, and dark, dramatic eyes.The problem: I am not sure how to achieve them! So what is the best mascara that lengthens and thickens, something I can find at a Walgreen’s or any pharmacy? And how can I apply my makeup in a dramatic fashion? I am hoping for thick eyelashes, dark eyeliner, and darker eye shadows. Recently, when I attempt to achieve dark eyes, it comes out making my eyes looking puffy (or smaller) and looking crusty. how the heck do I put on makeup? Please Help

Ok, i have been trying for a while but i don’t think i am doing it right. Comparing my application steps to the ones I see on videos online, i am missing like a million steps.

Foundation: Primer?? what is it? do you put it all over your face (lids included? Concealer-before/after foundation? Why do we need primer and what are some good brands. I usually just put mosturizer and then foundation.

Eyes: in which order do eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara go? and is there something you put on the eyelids specifically, like a eyelid primer?? I find that my eyeliner tends to disappear/smudge in like 2 hours. are you suppose to put a generous amount of eyeshadow or something before eyeliner? but then the eyeshadow gets into my creases…

Blush: bronzer/golden tone blush- my skintone is beige/average color, so would this be a good color? lateley i’ve really been into golden colors

I have dark brown eyes and brown hair if that helps. other girls just seem to be able to put it on correctly and go about on business so i don’t know what i am doing incorrectly. thanks for the help!

I have shadows round my eyes(its genetic not really bout sleep) and have quite pale skin that blushes easily so i wear concealer and powder but i find in photos it doesn’t look blended well and a bit chalky or uneven (in terms of tone) any tips on how to even it out or get a nicer texture? cheers
